Books & Movies

Yesterday I finished reading The Fault In Our Stars (John Green). I really only mentioned this because this is a post about books and movies. If you want my personal take on it, contact me, because I get worked up thinking about it.

I am currently reading The Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger) because it’s one of those books I feel like I’m supposed to have read, but primarily because the man who killed John Lennon supposedly felt like the book was about him. When I’m finished with the book I’ll watch Chapter 27 because that movie features Jared Leto playing the man who, indeed, shot John Lennon. Because I love Jared Leto as an actor (and a musician, of course) and the story seems fascinating.

Next on the reading list:

  • 1984 (George Orwell)
  • Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury)
  • Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte)
  • Of course, a fair assortment of nonfiction works.

Please send in any recommendations; I already have many and I need to visit the library soon, so go ahead and load up the list quick so I can get them all in one trip!

Next on the movie list:

  • A Clockwork Orange
  • The Notebook (I just want to watch it okay ;_;)
  • Rocky Horror Picture Show
  • ?????

I could especially use recommendations in that department.

I don’t expect anybody to care about all this, I’m just really excited about these lists I have going here. I like lists. I don’t like lists ending. It gives me something to do. So feel free to add to these. :D
