My name is Megan. I go by Megan, Purplebash, a variety of other nicknames; anything but “Ginger.”

Music makes life worth living, so here are some bands I enjoy. (Emphasis on “some.”)
I like this gif. A lot.
And you know. All that good stuff. MGMT is my favourite overall but that doesn’t diminish my love for Cage the Elephant, Awolnation, Grouplove, twenty one pilots, Manchester Orchestra, Young the Giant, New Politics… I like a lot of folk music like The Lumineers, Wild Child, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros… I like a lot of “spacey” stuff, I like simple alternative rock… music is my fuel, man.
I’ve seen quite a few bands live, if you’re interested.
Some other subjects I appreciate: Astronomy + science, colours & art, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Whip It, and tacos. (Taco Tuesday is a special holiday in my household and we celebrate diligently; Taco Atheists are not welcome here.)

Dude, seriously? I really don’t have that many followers. If I like you I’ll probably end up unintentionally promoting you anyway…
What type of things do you post?
Just check out the “About Me” part above, honestly. I have a huge fondness for colourful things and I post or reblog art a lot, as well as music I take an interest in like MGMT, Cage the Elephant, The Limousines, AWOLNATION, Foster the People, Grouplove, Kasabian, Death Cab For Cutie, Young The Giant, Manchester Orchestra… There’s a LOT. I hope that’s alright. I try to keep a good balance of subjects as well as a mix of text, quotes, images, videos, etc.
What’s your favourite colour?
Purple. Yeah I know nobody asks this but still…

I’m a girl. I’m a teenager. Simply because this link is totally public across the entire Internet, I don’t want to be any more specific right here. I’ll be glad to tell you privately though, and I post about those things often.
Is this an advice blog?
Nope. People do come to me for advice a lot, though, so if you need an open ear you can hit me up.
Then why is your Ask Box titled “Please Ask For Help”?
It’s the name of my favourite Telekinesis song. I would have kept it as “Ask Me Anything” which is my favourite song by The Strokes, but I don’t think many people got that reference at all since it was the default, so I changed it to “Please Ask For Help” because it was relevant to the purpose of the ask box, haha. Use it for anything, though.
Ugghh, do you constantly reblog those things begging me to spam your ask box?
Absolutely not. I understand how that can get annoying and I know we tend to just scroll right past them, so I don’t. If I follow you and you reblog one, though, I’ll probably give you a number or however it works. But yeah, I don’t reblog any of those things.
Is any of the artwork yours?
Unless it says so, no. I’ll be sure to mention if it is mine or not, and if it’s not it’s either reblogged or I’ll take the time to cite the artist.
Why do you talk about yourself so much?
I’m sorry!! This isn’t a theme blog or anything, this is just my personal one where I post/reblog things that appeal to my eyes or ears, and I frequently update you all on random things going on with me at the moment. I can only hope you guys just scroll past them politely.
